🌱 Our Initiatives
From rural fields to urban streets, our initiatives are rooted in one simple belief — real change begins when communities come together.
We are working to strengthen connections, inspire responsibility, and rebuild the social fabric that holds our villages and cities together.
Through focused projects on organic farming, community learning, rural sports revival, and civic sense awareness, we aim to create spaces where people act, learn, and grow collectively.
Each initiative reflects our commitment to sustainable development and social transformation — from empowering farmers and educating children to reviving village bonds and fostering cleaner, more responsible cities.
Because true progress isn’t built in offices or plans —
it begins on the ground, with people who care.

Project Prithvi - An initiave to heal earth
ONKAAR’s Project Prithvi is an ongoing effort to revive and promote sustainable organic farming practices across 11 districts of Bihar and 8 districts of Odisha. Through this initiative, we are working closely with over 2,500 farmers across 70 panchayats, empowering them with knowledge, tools, and community support to embrace a healthier and more eco-friendly agricultural future.
Our Key Interventions 🌱 Awareness and Orientation Campaigns Conducting village-level workshops and farmer meetups to spread awareness about the long-term benefits of organic farming — for soil health, crop quality, and farmer income. 🧑🌾 Training & Capacity Building Organizing hands-on training sessions led by agricultural experts on composting, crop rotation, integrated pest management, and natural fertilization techniques. 🐄 Resource Support Providing initial resources such as vermicompost kits, cow dung-based bio-fertilizer, earthworms (kenchua), organic manure units, and guidance to set up sustainable compost systems. 🌾 Demonstration Farms Establishing model demonstration plots in each block to showcase the practical results of organic techniques, encouraging peer learning among farmers. 🧪 Soil Health Monitoring Collaborating with local Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) for soil testing, analysis, and regular monitoring to ensure improved soil fertility over time. 🤝 Farmer Collective Formation Encouraging the formation of local organic farmer groups for collective input purchase, marketing, and brand development. 📈 Market Linkages and Certification Support Supporting farmers in obtaining organic certification and connecting them to sustainable markets and buyer networks. Our Vision: Through Project Prithvi, ONKAAR envisions building a self-sustaining ecosystem of informed and empowered farmers who act as custodians of nature — restoring the balance between soil, seed, and society.

Project Udaan: Community Schools for Every Child
Project Udaan is ONKAAR’s heartfelt community-driven initiative to bring learning opportunities to children who are unable to attend formal schools due to poverty, illiteracy, or lack of access.
Across 100+ cities and towns of Bihar, we are building small evening learning spaces — powered not by money, but by compassion. Our aim is to reach 500 communities by next year, ensuring that no child is left behind because of their circumstances.

How Project Udaan Works 🏫 Community-Led Evening Schools Local residents open their homes, terraces, or community halls every evening to conduct informal classes for children who are out of school or irregular in attendance. 👩🏫 Volunteer Teachers from Within the Society Retired teachers, college students, homemakers, and working professionals all come together to teach. Every hour of their time becomes a spark of hope for a child. 📚 Resource Sharing and Support Neighbors and local shopkeepers donate books, notebooks, pens, mats, and even small lamps. The entire ecosystem runs on shared kindness. 💬 Counselling for Parents and Children Dedicated volunteers regularly interact with parents — helping them understand the value of education, hygiene, and emotional wellbeing. 🌐 Network of Learning Communities Project Udaan has evolved into a growing network of micro-learning spaces across Bihar — connected through shared ideas, guidance, and community spirit. 🎯 The Vision Ahead By 2026, we aim to establish at least 500 community schools, creating a living example of how collective effort can replace despair with hope. Our Belief: Education doesn’t always begin with buildings or funding — it begins with people who care. Through Project Udaan, ONKAAR is nurturing a movement where communities rise together to give every child the wings to fly.

Through this initiative: Young adolescents are encouraged to spend their evenings in meaningful physical activity. Elders and community leaders participate as guides, storytellers, and mentors — sharing experiences and wisdom from their own journeys. Families reconnect as they watch and support the games together, rebuilding trust and belonging. The spirit of inclusiveness is revived — caste, class, or background dissolve when everyone plays on the same ground. Village spaces become hubs of social and emotional well-being. Our long-term goal is to create a movement where children begin their journey of learning and understanding right from their village — listening to their elders, knowing their roots, and growing into responsible, aware citizens. Currently active in 50 villages across Bihar, we aim to expand this initiative across hundreds of communities, with future collaboration with the Government of Bihar for sustainable sports infrastructure and inclusive rural engagement. When a child plays with his community, he doesn’t just learn the game — he learns life.

Mera Gaon - Mere Log: Reviving roots,
Nurturing bonds,
preserving heritage, and reconnecting hearts
In an era where screens have replaced open fields and isolation has crept into our communities, “Mera Gaon, Mere Log” is our heartfelt effort to bring back the spirit of togetherness through sports and shared spaces.
Across Bihar’s villages, we are establishing community sports centers that bring children, youth, and elders together on one field — to play, to learn, and to connect.
These spaces are not just about games like football, volleyball, or cricket; they are about conversations, friendships, and rediscovering village identity.

Project Nagrik Kartavya - Reforming behavior, restoring pride.
India's urban centers are growing fast — but civic sense isn’t keeping up. Project Nagrik Kartvaya is our city-wide initiative to cultivate responsible public behavior and civic awareness among citizens.
Every day, we see the same issues repeating — garbage thrown right beside bins, public spitting and urination despite available facilities, reckless bike stunts that endanger others, honking chaos, and blocked pedestrian paths.
These aren’t just hygiene problems — they are reflections of a missing sense of shared responsibility.
Through Nagrik Kartavya, we’re bringing that awareness back — one habit, one street, one citizen at a time.

Our activities includes: 1. Civic Sense Awareness Campaigns in schools, colleges, and market areas — using interactive street plays, wall art, and public pledges. 2. #IRespectMyCity Pledge Drive, where citizens publicly commit to responsible civic behavior and share it across social media. 3. Clean Corner Challenge, encouraging local groups to adopt and maintain their own street corners or public spaces. 4. Youth Safety Week, focused on safe driving, helmet use, and discouraging stunt riding among youngsters. 5. Spit-Free Bihar Campaign is spreading awareness through creative posters, on-ground volunteers, and local influencers. This movement isn’t about policing — it’s about pride. When people understand that civic behavior defines the dignity of a city, transformation begins from within. Currently active in Patna, Gaya, Muzaffarpur, Bhagalpur, and Purnea, the initiative aims to expand to every major city of Bihar by next year — making civic sense not just a rule, but a culture. Because a cleaner, safer, and prouder Bihar starts not with new laws — but with new habits.
